Joi Tillman is Vice President, Voluntary, Sun Life Financial U.S. She is responsible for delivering a seamless end-to-end benefits
communication, enrollment, and administration experience across Sun Life’s broad portfolio of voluntary benefits. Joi oversees the development of client-focused enrollment strategies, including benefits technology platforms, a network of Benefit Counselors, enrollment operations and growth initiatives for the voluntary business.
Joi came to Sun Life from Assurant Employee Benefits (AEB), where she was Senior Vice President, Voluntary. In 2008 she became co-leader of Assurant Employee Benefit’s Voluntary Growth Initiative. Joi held several senior leadership positions during her 25 years at AEB, including in Underwriting/Risk Management and Human Resources, in addition to Voluntary.
Joi is a graduate of the University of Missouri Kansas City, and is a member of the Urban Rangers Corp Board.
